1 Tariff saving calculations assume an electric consumption of 5,800kWh and a gas consumption of 2,300kWh, charging 43% of electric consumption at 11p/kWh during Next Pumped Fixed 12m V2 off-peak hours (4am-7am and 1pm-4pm), 49% of consumption at 25.5p/kWh during base hours (7am to 1pm and 7pm to 4am) and 8% of consumption at 32.8p/kWh during peak hours (4pm to 7pm); compared to charging at 24.501p/kWh (national average rate and will vary by region) standard variable rate from 1 October 2024, which is equivalent to £268 saved.

What do I need to get Next Pumped?

Our tariff helps you unlock the full potential of your air source heat pump. That’s why we have a few requirements if you want to sign up:

  • You’ll need to have a smart meter that sends us half hourly updates on your energy use.

  • You’ll need to pay by monthly Direct Debit and manage your account online.

Chances are, if you have an ASHP, you’ll already have a smart meter installed, be paying by DD, and manage your account online. In which case, you’ll be carrying on just as before. And if not, we should be able to set these things up for you at little or no extra cost.
