We’re excited to announce that E.ON UK are fully acquiring Eco2Solar, the UK market leader in home solar installations for property developers and new-build housing.
Who are Eco2Solar?
Eco2Solar started in 2007 with the aim of making solar energy solutions an affordable, practical choice for every new home. As a solar power specialist, the company gives homebuyers more flexibility with their renewable energy choices, helping to drive sustainable housing development in the long-term.
To date, Eco2Solar has installed solar panels on well over 50,000 homes, generating around 85 million kilowatt-hours of green electricity. That’s enough to make over 2.7 billion cups of tea every year.1

E.ON UK acquired a 49 per cent stake in Eco2Solar in December 2020, helping the company to enhance its reputation as a trusted partner for some of the UK’s leading property developers, and speed up the adoption of solar energy by the public. Now, we’re taking things to the next level – helping Eco2Solar to grow and fulfil its potential.
The full acquisition will combine the strengths of E.ON UK and Eco2Solar to drive further growth in the solar installation market and reduce CO2 emissions in the housing sector. This accelerated adoption of renewable energy technology is increasingly vital as the Government seeks to build 1.5 million new homes and achieve clean energy by 2030.2
